An Idea To Make Your New York Corporate Party *Not* Awkward

corporate events NYC Photo Booth

Ah, corporate events. They have the potential to be so fun, but if you aren’t careful, they also have the potential to be boring, and lame, and they can make people dread them.

When you’re planning a big event for your team or company, you’ve gotta think of ways to get people laughing. We’ve heard that laughter is the best medicine for our bodies, right? Well, it applies to parties and events too!

When people show up to your event, they’re gonna scan the room. They’re gonna see who you’ve hired for catering, they’re gonna feel out the music from the DJ, they’re gonna see what kind of decorations you’ve put up, and they’ll simply evaluate.

But when they look over and see a photo booth, they’re gonna take that in and say to themselves, “I hope to have fun with that later.

But they might be hesitant! So they grab a drink, they start a small talk conversation with their favorite product manager. But they keep an eye on that photo booth. “Later…” they say.

At one point in the night, someone breaks the ice and says “Should we try to do the photo booth?” the magic words! Once someone suggests it, everyone gets on board. “Sure! What else is there to do?” they say.

They grab their props, and they laugh about how funny it would be if Rob wore the pink glitter glasses, or if Jenna and Emma held up the “bromance” sign. They decide on the funniest props and step into the lighting.

With each snap, things get sillier, laughs come from the belly, and now Joe and Dan are hugging and doing funny poses in the booth.

They all enter their phone numbers and the photo instantly goes to their phones, and they burst into laughter.

And from there, consider the ice to be broken. They grab another drink, settle into the party, and have more meaningful conversations about work, life, family, and more— and that’s that!

Trust is being built, stronger relationships are being forged. Your goal of the party is accomplished, and now your employees are begging you to book the photo booth at your next party.

You planned a great party. You did great.
