How a One-Day Pride Activation at Framebridge Became a Case Study in Connection

Overview
During NYC Pride 2025, Framebridge partnered with Rent My Booth to bring a hosted photo booth experience to their Greenwich Village store. The goal was to welcome the local community, celebrate Pride in an authentic way, and give new and existing customers a meaningful reason to walk through the door.
The result was more than just an uptick in foot traffic. It was a day of storytelling, high-energy interaction, and brand moments that guests will remember—and Framebridge employees were proud to be part of.
The Activation

Duration: 11 AM to 6 PM
Team On-Site: 5 Framebridge employees + 1 hosted photo booth by Rent My Booth
Rent My Booth brought a full-featured, custom-built experience to the store, including:
A visually striking backdrop designed for street-level visibility
Glam ring lighting and a high-quality iPad-based camera
Curated Pride props and custom “#1 Photo Booth Diva” award stickers
Instant 2x6 prints and a digital gallery via QR code
Full-time hosting and guest engagement provided by Ben Hawes, founder of Rent My Booth
This activation was designed to be collaborative and brand-aligned, not just a standalone booth in the corner, but an integrated part of the store’s experience and energy.

What Happened
Throughout the day, guests entered the store excited to engage with the photo booth. Many came in off the street, attracted by the setup and the festive energy (plus the A/C). Some were already Framebridge customers. Others were new visitors drawn in by the activity—and left with a better understanding of the brand and its offerings.
A highlight moment involved a man who came in after finding a newly unearthed photo of himself at age 17, taken in the Village during the 1960s. The photo had never been printed, he just found it on an online gallery somewhere. Framebridge helped him turn that image into a lasting, framed memory.
This was just one of many moments of connection that emerged naturally throughout the activation.
Team Morale and Store Impact
The Framebridge team was actively involved throughout the day, assisting with the prop table, guiding guests to the booth, and introducing new visitors to the store. Some brought in friends to join the celebration. The booth gave staff a new way to connect with customers, share Framebridge’s story, and turn casual interactions into meaningful conversations.
Instead of the standard “Can I help you with anything today?”, employees had a fresh conversation starter that naturally led into the Framebridge elevator pitch: helping people get art, photos, and memories off their phones—or out of storage—and beautifully displayed on their walls.
The activation created a collaborative, high-energy environment that benefited customers and staff alike.
